Ingredients Of Chana Saag
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1 bunch spinach, washed and roughly chopped
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp dried fenugreek
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 green chili
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 bunch green coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 small piece ginger, finely chopped
Method Of Chana Saag
- Put spinach in a pan and let it simmer in its own juices. Once soft remove from the pan.
- Saute onions in other pan till light brown and then add chickpeas, salt, garlic, red chili powder, turmeric powder and dry fenugreek. Cook well.
- Now add chicken stock. Cover it and leave to simmer. When water starts to dry, add spinach, coriander, green chili and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Delicious chana saag is ready to be served.
