Chicken Doughnuts (By Saadat Sadique): Recipe

Kids love doughnuts whether they are sweet or salty. Try this different type of doughnut recipe and you can also give this to your kids in lunch. A nutritious lunch doesn’t have to revolve around a traditional sandwich; consider different pita breads or tortilla wrappings filled with a favorite sandwich meat or salad, meat and cheese kabobs, or a macaroni salad.

Chicken Donut

Ingredients Of Chicken Doughnuts

  • 1/2 kg refined flour
  • 1 sachet yeast
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil

For Filling

  • 2 cup boneless chicken, boiled and shredded
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 bunch green coriander, chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies, chopped
  • Oil for frying

Method Of Chicken Doughnuts

  • Mix yeast in warm water and add sugar and butter in it and set it aside for few minutes to activate the yeast.
  • Take flour and add yeast mixture in it. Add water as required and make a dough. Knead it well and set it aside until it doubles it size.
  • Take chicken and add salt, black pepper, coriander and green chilies in it. Mix it well.
  • Mix chicken in dough and knead it again. Now make a long roll and cut equal size pieces. Now give them the shape of doughnut with the help of your finger.
  • Brush little oil in all doughnuts and deep fry them until they are golden brown.
  • Serve them with sauce of your choice.
