A concealer is an important part of every woman’s anti-aging arsenal. It can be known as a blemish eraser or a wake me up magic tool.
If used correctly and appropriately, it can make you look years younger and less fatigued and haggard.
Concealer come in sticks, creams and liquid brush form. They can also come in pencil but a bit harder to blend in. Do not freak out by a vast variety of concealers in the market. Just go with the correct application techniques and you will be sure to master it within minutes. Try to use an eye cream in you daily skin care regimen because concealer might seem to cake and crack around your under eye. The skin under the eyes is most delicate hence must be treated with utmost care and hydrate well. Hydration will reduce the affects of stress and aging.
A big NO in choosing the right shade of a concealer is “not” to go too light on the shade. It should not be more than 2 shades lighter than your own skin tone (Pakistani women) otherwise it starts to give a raccoon eyed look. Concealer is used to hide the darkness of blemishes, or the under eye circles. Hence it must be dark enough to blend into the skin. Ideally peach or yellow tone concealers go well on light to medium toned Asian skin.
The most important thing about using a concealer is to blend it well and dab it on the skin. You can apply it before or after the foundation. It’s a matter of personal preference. There are no rules to make-up.
You can mix your concealer into a cream to make the consistency more sheer for a day wear. Its a must have for the woman on run.One can also use mineral erasers which will give an added sun protection to the delicate under eye area.
