Now a days i am watching chef Gulzar’s programs, he is very good cook and dancer too. He dances a lot in his programs and that dance suits him. In the following recipe he gave a unique look to our traditional rice by adding meatballs in it. You can entertain your guests with this tasty and eye catching recipe.
Ingredients
- 1kg beef mince
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- 300 gm rice,washed and soaked in water for half an hour
- 3 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 egg
- 5-6 garlic chopped
- 1 cup peas, boiled
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 2 chicken cubes
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ajinomoto
- Oil for frying
Method
- In a bowl mix beef mince,2 cloves garlic chopped, paprika, salt, black pepper, ajinomoto, corn flour and egg. Mix all ingredients well.
- Make a small balls of the mince mixture, and deep fry them on medium heat.
- Now for rice heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and fry garlic in it, when it turns dark brown in color then add sliced onion. Don’t change the onion color just fry it for few seconds and then add 1 cup water, 1tbsp paprika, 1/2 tsp black pepper, salt, 1/2 tsp ajinomoto and 2 chicken cubes. Mix it well.
- When chicken cube dissolves then add chili sauce and 1 cup more water and rice.
- Add rosemary and cover it and let the rice cook. When all water is dried then add peas and meatballs and put the rice covered on dum for 5-10 minutes or till the rice are done.
- Serve hot with raita.
