Eating lots of tomatoes and red paprika in a normal diet can reduce wrinkles, a German magazine The Dermatologist said in its issue. Our body cannot produce enough antioxidants on its own and has to make up for them with vitamins. Vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes, paprika and kale contain plenty of antioxidants, so does green tea. A study performed in the Berlin Charite Hospital found that people with a high concentration of antioxidants in the skin have fewer wrinkles. That is why vegetarians have more antioxidants that non vegetarian
Professor Lesley Rhodes, at Manchester University, said: “The tomato diet boosted the level of procollagen in the skin significantly. These increasing levels suggest potential reversal of the skin ageing process.”
