Aloo Chana Chaat Recipe

Everyone must know how to make aloo chana chaat. Its basic type of chaat. Some people use yogurt in it and some make it warm. I prefer to use tamarind paste in it with capsicum. It enhance the flavors of chaat. Soak chick peas overnight and then boil it in morning.

Ingredients Of Aloo Chana Chaat

  • 1/2 kg boiled chick peas or channay
  • 3-4 potatoes boiled, cut in cubes
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2-4 green chilies, chopped
  • Chat masala as required
  • 1 green capsicum, chopped
  • Salt to taste

For Tamarind Paste

  • 100 gm tamarind or imli
  • Salt to taste
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder

Method Of Aloo Chana Chat

  • First of all we will make tamarind paste for chaat. Dip tamarind or imli in hot boiling water and after two hours remove seeds. Now mix tamarind and its water with salt, sugar, cumin seeds and red chili powder in blender. It will take a form of paste. Put it aside.
  • Now take a large dish and put boiled chick peas and potatoes in it.
  • Add tamarind paste, onion, green chilies, tomatoes, capsicum, chaat masala and salt. Mix it well.
  • Serve with yogurt and papri.
