Bihari Kabab Recipe (By Chef Tahir)

Here is the recipe for Bihari kabab by chef Tahir. This dish is a specialty of Karachi and they are really yummy and very tender. Papaya paste helps to tender the beef. You can also use beef tenderizer instead of papaya paste.

Ingredients Of Bihari Kabab

  • 500 gm. beef
  • 1 tsp. garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. crushed red chilies
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp. mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp. papaya paste
  • 3 tbsp. brown onion
  • 4 tbsp. yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp. ginger paste
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. tara garam masala
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg and mace

Method Of Bihari Kabab

  • Mix the brown onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, crushed red chili, tara garam masala, papaya paste, salt,  mustard oil, yogurt and nutmeg and mace till a smooth paste is formed.
  • Now cut the beef into strips and coat it with the marinade.
  • Marinate for 1/2 an hour. Now thread the meat onto the skewers and grill it over burning coal or a grill pan.
  • Serve with Chutney and parathas.
  • Recipe Of Tara Garam Masala

    • 1 tbsp. cumin seed
    • 1 tbsp. black pepper
    • 1 tbsp. coriander
    • 6 cloves

    grind all spices together, Taara garam masala is ready
