Chicken In Oyster Sauce Recipe

Chicken in oyster sauce is a Chinese dish and you can serve it with egg fried rice or with simple plain garlic rice. My family loves to eat this dish and I love to cook it as it is very easy and quick to make. Do try and share your feedback in the comments section below.

Ingredients Of Chicken In Oyster Sauce

  • Chicken boneless 400 g
  • Mushroom sliced   1 cup
  • Spring onion  3
  • Oil  3-4 tbsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt   1 tsp
  • Chinese salt  1/2 tsp
  • Sugar  1 tsp
  • White pepper  1 tsp
  • Corn flour  2 tbsp
  • Coldwater  2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce  4 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce   3 tbsp
  • Sugar  1 tsp
  • White pepper  1 tsp
  • White vinegar  1 tbsp
  • Cornflour  1-1/2  tbsp
  • Water  1/4 cup
  • Chicken cube  1
  • Hot water  1-1/2 cup

Method Of Chicken In Oyster Sauce

  • Cut mushrooms and chicken in thin slices, chop green onions. (I am using frozen mushrooms)
  • Add salt   1 tsp, Chinese salt  1/2 tsp, Sugar  1 tsp, White pepper  1 tsp, Cornflour  2tbsp, Coldwater  2 tbsp. in a bowl. Mix well and marinate chicken in it for 10 minutes. Now fry these chicken pieces. Take out chicken and set it aside.
  •  Now take 1-1/2 cup hot water, mix chicken cube in it. And in 1/4 cup cold water mix 1-1/2 tbsp. cornflour. set aside.
  • Now in another wok add 3-4 tbsp oil with chopped garlic 1 tbsp. Cook until light brown.
    Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, and white part of green onions. Cook for 30 seconds. Now add fried chicken and mushrooms, stir on high heat for few more seconds. Now add sugar 1 tsp and white pepper 1 tsp and mix well.
  • Add in chicken stock we made above and cornflour mixed in water and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Then add remaining green onions and 1 tbsp white vinegar, mix well turn off the heat.
