I have been searching for this recipe on net but I was not able to find anything good so yesterday I experimented with some ingredients and the result was superb. This one is with gravy and you have to serve this on top of rice.

Ingredients Of Chicken Shashlik With Rice
- 1 kg boneless chicken
For Marinade
- 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. red chili powder
- 2 tbsp. soya sauce
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 tbsp. Worchester shire sauce
- 1 tsp. red chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
For Gravy or Shashlik Sauce
- 5-6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 3 tbsp. chili garlic sauce
- 3 tbsp. ketchup
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- 2 tbsp. soya sauce
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp. corn flour
Vegetables
- 3-4 capsicums cut in cubes
- 3 onions cut in cubes
- 3 tomatoes, remove seeds and cut in cubes
- 4 boiled eggs for garnishing
Method Of Chicken Shashlik With Rice
- Marinate chicken cubes with all ingredients mentioned above in marinade. leave it for half an hour.
- Heat 3 tbsp. oil in a pan and cook chicken in it till its tender and done. At the end give smoke of burnt coal to give it a barbequed flavor. Set aside.
- Now take 1 tbsp. oil and fry all vegetables in other pan. Don’t overcook the vegetables. Vegetables must be crunchy not tender. Set them aside.
For Sauce
- Heat oil and sauté garlic in it. Add tomato puree, chili garlic sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili flakes, salt, soya sauce, Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Now add chicken stock. Dissolve corn flour in water and then add it in sauce and cook till it thickens.
- Take a big bowl and mix cooked chicken and vegetables in it. Pour hot shashlik sauce over it.
- Take a tray and place your cooked rice on it. Spread shaslik over rice and garnish it with boiled eggs.
- I cooked simple garlic rice with it. Serve hot
