Fried chicken Dim sim is a Chinese snack. It contains chicken mince and vegetables of your choice and is folded to resemble more of a parcel shape. Explaining the reason, the nutritionist mentioned that these are generally bite-sized, high in protein, and low in carbohydrates. Steamed ones are more healthy than fried ones.
Ingredients Of Fried Chicken Dim Sim
- 1 spring onion’s green stripes
- Few roll sheets(manda patti)
- 1 cup boiled chicken, shredded
- 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp egg
- 1 tbsp flour
- Oil for frying
Method
- Mix chicken, potatoes, salt black, and white pepper.
- In a bowl mix egg and flour to make a batter.
- Cut the roll sheets into 5-6 inch squares. Place the chicken mixture in the center and apply the batter on the edges of the sheet. Now join the edges and seal them. Tie a spring onion strip on it. It will look like a pouch.
- Heat oil and deep fry them. Serve with chili garlic sauce.
- Dim sum means ‘touch the heart’ in Chinese. The small portions were designed to merely touch the heart not sate the appetite.
