Eid ul azha is here and its meaty eid so we all enjoy tasty and scrumptious dishes whole week. Here I am posting some home made spices recipes by Shireen Anwar. You can store these spices in air tight jar and can use them whenever you need. These spices are much better and tasty then ready made spices which are available in market. You can make your own fresh spices with following recipes. Here is the recipe of Katakat Masala. Katakat is dish which we make with liver and kidney of goat.


Ingredients Of Katakat Masala

  • 3tbsp sonaf or fennel seeds
  • 15 small cardamoms
  • 6 large cardamoms
  • 2tbsp cumin
  • 2tbsp poppy seeds or khash khas
  • 1tbsp javitri or mace
  • 1 jaifal or nutmeg
  • 2tbsp black pepper whole
  • 6 piece dalcheeni or cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. coriander whole
  • 2 tbsp. kachri powder
  • 1 tsp ajwaien or carom seeds
  • 3tbsp kasoori methie
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 2tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp. coriander powder

Method Of Katakat Masala

  • Grind all ingredients except kasoori methie.
  • When it is grinded then add kasoori methie and mix it.
  • Store in airtight jar.
