Ingredients Of Keto Pizza Chaffle

For Chaffle Crust

  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 tsp coconut flour or 1 tbsp of almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of Salt

Pizza Topping

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Preheat waffle maker as well.
  2. In a small bowl, combine egg, mozzarella cheese, coconut flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  3. Pour half of the chaffle mixture into the center of the waffle iron. Allow cooking for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully remove and repeat for the second chaffle.
  5. Top each chaffle with sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
  6. Place chaffles on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 4-5 minutes and broil for 1 minute afterward.
  7. Remove and sprinkle some parsley or basil if desired.

      I will be heating mine in my air fryer. Before keto I would always reheat my pizza in the air fryer and it tasted better than it did when it was freshly made.

    Where does the 3rd chaffle come from?

    How would you suggest these be baked if one does not possess a waffle iron? Can it be made on the stovetop like a pancake, or should it be baked, and if so, at what temp, and for how long?
