Mini Chocolate Tarts Recipe

This is my first attempt at making these mini chocolate tarts and I must say that they were very yummy and easy to make. It is very kids friendly and easy to make recipe Following recipe will make 8 tarts. I filled them with a chocolate sauce you can also fill them with whipped cream or custard.They were little bit rough looking but I will improve on my second attempt.

Ingredients Of  Mini Chocolate Tart

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp. coco powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

For Chocolate Filling

  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp. coco powder
  • 2tbsp butter
  • 7-ounce chocolate (take any brand)

Method Of Mini Chocolates Tarts

  • Sift flour and mix coco powder and salt in it.
  • In another bowl beat together butter, sugar, vanilla essence and egg yolk. Add flour in it and mix with your hands and form a dough. Wrap dough in plastic wraps and refrigerate for an hour.
  • Grease muffin tray with some oil.
  • Roll out the dough and cut the tarts in round shape with a biscuit cutter or with some sharp glass.
  • Put the tarts in a muffin tray and press them lightly onto bottom and up sides of the cup.
  • Bake for 15 minutes in preheated oven or till they are puffed and firm to touch. Cool them on a wire rack.

For Chocolate Sauce

  • Heat the whipping cream in small saucepan over medium heat. Bring just to a boil. Add hot cream over chopped chocolate and butter. Let stand for 1 minute. Stir to combine until smooth.
  • Let the sauce cool down and then spoon it in your tarts and  set them in the fridge until sauce is set in tarts.
  • Garnish them with chopped almonds or with crushed cookies.
  • Enjoy with your loved ones.
